James Olson
Founder & CEO
James Olson brings over two decades of operating experience across the retirement, wealth, and financial technology sectors. He currently serves as EVP of Product at LeafHouse Financial Services and Founder/CEO of Yggdrasil Laboratories. Prior to these roles led product and technology strategy for some of the industry's leading financial services platforms.
Prior to LeafHouse, James was Managing Director at IPX Retirement, overseeing platform development and institutional partnerships. Earlier in his career, he founded Aspire Financial Services, building it from the ground up into a recognized provider of retirement plan solutions — an experience that shaped his conviction that the industry's most persistent problems are infrastructure problems.
That conviction is the foundation of Yggdrasil Laboratories: a platform designed not by technologists observing the industry from the outside, but by an operator who has lived its complexity.
